Ahh, but it's a wonderful investment in the future of V4RB ;-).

I think you're okay as long as you do not host the data on X -- but test
this to make sure. My memory is getting a little vague as it's now been
nearly a year since I've last fought this battle.

As long as OS X is out of the picture, you're good to go with the open/close
trick.
