Oh my gosh, it’s several years ago, I installed last time valentina, so I
didn’t realized anymore to run the “second part” of installation

Thanks for your quick help

All the best and take care in these times!

Tiemo

Hello, Tiemo

Thank you, we hope for it, too. We're in the region near Crimea.

Complete installation process is showed on this video:
http://youtu.be/D1OKJQGtcsE

So, after running an installer from dmg, you should:

1) go to /Users/USERNAME/Paradigma Software/V4REV_5 - or V4REV_4 in your
case

2) open Install.rev script and run an installation

There should be no errors. If you see some errors about not copied plugins,
try to rerun it.

3) Restart LiveCode

Hi Sergey,

first I hope everything is ok with you and the other guys in the Ukraine,
hopefully everything keeps save! Are you in Kiew?

In: /usr/local/lib/vcomponents/ I have:

- libvclient_fat_release.dylib

- libvkernel_fat_release.dylib

- libvreport_fat_release.dylib

- libvshared_fat_release.dylib

- vresources folder

-

/users/Tiemo/documents/My LiveCode/ is empty (nothing installed)

The V4REV Installer log says:

- Installation: command not found

- V4REV: command not found

- Vcomponents: command not found

- V4REV Uninstaller.app: command not found

- Installation: command not found

I don’t know what is not found

I restarted my machine, re-downloded the last 4.9 v4rev_mac installer and
re-run it, without success

Any ideas, what is missing on my machine?

Thanks

Tiemo

Hello, Tiemo

* Valentina components are installed into /usr/local/lib/vcomponents
directory

* After running an Install.rev script you should see the following folder
structure:

http://imgur.com/ILqL1j8

If it is not the same, try to run a script again or trash this folder and
rerun.

You should see no errors in a log of Install.rev.

* To check an installation from the IDE:

1) Open Tools->MessageBox

2) Input:

put the externalPackages of stack "home"

3) There should be "Valentina for Revolution" in the list

Hello,

I have installed a new mavericks machine, run the V4REV installer with the
info “installation successful”

When opening an existing LiveCode project with the LC 6.5.2 IDE I get a
failure of Valentina_Init with the error code “219,3800,14”.

Because the LC program is not new, it must be a failed installation of
Valentina.

How and where can I check the installed valentina components? Which files
should be where installed? Or what else could cause this valentina_init
error?

Thanks for any help

Tiemo
