ODBC Connection fails on Mac OSX Valentina Studio Pro

Hello,

I have a problem connecting valentina studio pro to an oracle database using the actual technologies odbc drivers. The same datasource works fine with filemaker advanced. The following error message is shown by valentina studio pro:

Connection could not be established.

I use the mac App Store version of valentina studio pro on a mac osx 10.9.2.

What can I do?
