Using Valentina Studio - and complaints

Using latest version form iTunes store (which is the only versions that
don't require that serial number you have to hunt for on website).

I tried to change the type of a field from "short" to varchar and found out
that it defaults to a varchar which has only 2 characters thus truncating
all the existing data in that field to just two characters.

I also tried using the features of database diagrams which allows you to
choose the number of characters (in this case I wanted 8) before
committing.  Interesting this changes all the data (9,000 records) to "42".

I would report this in Mantis but I have not had the time over the last two
months to get the serial number required to use the latest beta and test it
(as maybe this problem does not occur in latest beta). I will when I have a
free weekend (I remember it took me nearly an hour to find it on the
website last time and I can't remember what I did).

I wish it was easier to get that serial number for testing. I would also
like to report some problems I found with switching from diagram view back
to columns view.

I think that it is important that Valentina Studio is bug free as it (in my
opinion) is the face of Valentina for new users and I want Valentina to
succeed!
