Creating a database not in the embedded server's folder

Hi 

 

I run into the exactly same problem 2 years ago. I use VB6 and COM. VServer
holds paths but you can not create a fresh DB into an other folder than
DATABASES. 

 

Our solution was to:

 

1)      Open local and create the DB e.g. in temp directory - close DB

2)      Copy files to server

3)      Open connection registering  the server path

 

That was all done transparently for the user in our configuration utility.

 

Not my preferred solution but it works.
