Just to be thorough... in OS X, you would need to go into the "Contents/MacOS" directory of your standalone 
and chmod the file with the name of your app (this is the actual executable). There was some discussion 
regarding this issue on the Livecode mailing list some months ago. It seems this may or may not be necessary 
depending on how you transfer your apps between platforms. I can't remember the details, but there is a 
searchable list archive on line if you're curious.
