Question About Segment Errors

In earlier stages of our product I had a lot of segment error problems. I
found 4 occasions where these errors occurs:

 

1)      Crashes -> Cure: I flush each change 

2)      Another app (virus scanner) interferes with the DB files -> Cure:
excluding DB-folder from scaning

3)      Interrupted network connection (e.g. one user switches off the
router for some safety reasons but leaves the server running)

4)      Another DB error occurs and the user keeps on working

 

We use primary VServer with our app (VCOM with VB6/SP6). 

 

This is not a proper analysis of the problem - I know. But since I throw an
eye onto these 4 points, segment errors are very rare.

Another finding: segment failures differs mostly for 1 segment (segment is
1000 but last segment is 999).
