Jochen, can you check this ASAP?

What version of Vstudio you use?
    what OS ?
    what mySQL version? ODBC driver?
    where is mySQL hosted, OS ?

ODBC should be best for this case,
Especially if you do this often, because ODBC Importer even allow save MAP
of importing for future.
