Hmm, I was going try self with option
  Database support: Valentina, Valentina2


And Revolution even not compiles with such settings,
Because complains that V4REV_macho is not found in fodler

    Revolution.app/Runtime/Externals/Universal


So how you are able compile it, Chris?


* May be you compile in fact Not Mac OS X Universal Binary ???
    
    - but e.g. MAC OS
    - or MAC OS X PPC ?

In my settings of Revolution 2.8.1 I have
    disabled Mac OS
    disabled Windows
    Linux come soon

And finally 
    Mac OS X panel  -- here Universal Binary checkbox ON.
