Yes.

Parallels allows multiple Windows environments on the same computer. I have two Windows environments - one set for American style dates and one for European style dates. I use the European style environment infrequently, but that environment would run my app while my primary environment would not.

But, both environments were Intel Parallels.

Yes.

This is correct. I only use Parallels for testing because I develop on the Mac. I develop as a hobbyist, so I don't have the luxury of having a dedicated Windows hardware environment.

Everything is working fine for me now, but it does seem odd that I was getting a message about not being able to load a dll that was clearly in the same folder as my app. And then I tried to install VStudio and got an error. Is that because of Parallels or a bug in Windows? I don't know. I had been testing on Windows using Parallels with Valentina 2 with no problems. Everytime a new Valentina 2 version would be released, I would reinstall it and the corresponding VStudio version without a problem.

I'm not saying there is a problem in Valentina. It could be that something corrupted my Windows environment that has nothing to do with Valentina. Windows is mysterious to me. I'm just reporting what happened. You can use the information as you will.
