LOL, can we take a good ribbing?

These good natured responses are designed to encourage all users, (and not
just Steve who had the courage to respond), to make more of an effort to
have themselves heard.

Perhaps if enough voices are head we can make a change for the better.

"Many of us that have been using Valentina since version 1"
Yes, are we burnt out? Are we waiting for the new guys to make an effort?
How about supporting the new guys by lending a hand with a bit of a leg up
instead of standing back an just watching them have a good go?
"Yes, that reminds me of when I was young. I wish I had someone back then
to lend a hand. Lets grab a cuppa and come back. I could watch this all
day." LOL

Standard salesman excuse:
"You had your chance to find this out before you paid."

LOL

Speaking for myself as well, that's not an acceptable answer in any
saturation whatsoever.

I've never accepted that as a valid response and never will.

Yes, the sky is blue and the grass is green, that's the way of the world.
Except when it storms or when its a dry climate.
Or perhaps when I take control of my own environment and build a greenhouse
and grow my own hydroponics bluegrass. (no drug pun intended there)

LOL

To clarify my point: I make the effort to do something about it.

"I think we've all used products that had great documentation but didn't
work."

Yes, how about products that have convoluted documentation and didn't work
like this one? Or a product that you can't get to work because of the lack
of documentation.

"...submitted a few corrections to the documentation via Mantis..."
Yes, jump thru this hoop, and stand inside this 4x6 area behind there bars.
Only speak when spoken too.
And don't feed the animals.

LOL

When "I am speaking for myself only"

Don't have "you" and "we" in the text.
Keep it to: When this happens, I feel etc...
And "we" reads like "God and I" LOL
- or "I have been elected to speak for this group"

LOL

Again, please take this as good natured ribbing as I have tones of flame
mail waiting to be read. And heaps of angry users waiting to be supported.

All the best to everyone.
Thanks again, Steve, for having the courage to reply.

Many of us that have been using Valentina since version 1 realize that
sometimes the documentation can be difficult to navigate. Paradigma is
doing what they can and they invite help. I've submitted a few corrections
to the documentation via Mantis and they were promptly acted upon.

I think we've all used products that had great documentation but didn't
work. I'd much rather have a product that works and the documentation be a
little slip-shod. You're milage may vary.

You've received answers to your questions on this list. That may not be
satisfactory to you - everyone has different ideas for what is good. But,
this is life with Valentina. You had your chance to find this out before
you paid.

Of course, I am speaking for myself only.

Steve
