Question about Bonjour

So in the .ini file, I can change the "BonjourProtocolName"

However, if I change this name, the "LocateBonjourServices" only picks up
the services on the local machine. For example, I want to brand the server
as "ours" so I changed this name to be "L4L" instead of "Valentina". When I
do that it will not show up in Valentina Studio, and it will not show up in
my app, even though that is the filter I am looking for:
(locateBonjourService("_L4L._tcp", "")

Is this a bug?
If changing the name of the protocol is not allowed, why is it exposed in
the .ini file?
