HI Kirill,

I don't have a simple project, I'm afraid.

I've gone back to 2.5.8 and the problem has gone away. So as long as 
I don't upgrade I'm OK.

I can tell you that with 2.5.9 on an Intel Mac (not a PPC Mac) 
setting a blob field to "" (not blank) -> segment corruption.

I'll see if I have time to try to make a small example that shows this.
