There might be a way to do this - I will discuss with Ruslan.

Yes, you can chop them up however you like. These stack on top of the five
users, so if a customer wanted to have six users, then you would only need
to give them one connection.

There should be a update to the Valentina wiki over the weekend that
includes a connections buying guide. 

In the meantime though - connections work much like bulk candy - you can
sell them to your customers in any combination you like (1, 5, 72, 321,
etc), but they are purchased from Paradigma in volume to get the best price.
If you think you are going to resell 5,000 connections over the course of a
year, then its best to buy them all at once, because there are big price
breaks.
