speed on query in valentina

I set up a valentina database which only had one table in to figure out how
to connect and get data from it, got that working then I created my complete
mysql database in valentina which has 150 plus tables with some tables
having several hundred records in them and several hundred columns, I
thought valentina was suppose to be faster that mysql, in my mysql rev
application I to not see any delay in the displaying of the sql queries
