Hi Simon,

extracting the archive on a PC will remove the file and folder resources,
so when copying them over to a Mac they will no longer be recognized.
Macromedia created the hqx method so that the resources would be
preserved when moving everything to your Mac.

The intention of Dir 10 was not to be able to create Mac Projectors on
a PC and distribute them (and vice versa), but to spare you from having
to buy an additional Mac Dir license. You still need a Mac for the creation
and more importantly testing of your application. I would not recommend
distributing anything before you have tested it on the target platform.
