Thanks! This is an extremely helpful summary of the issues. I'll probably give
it a shot. I have been frustrated in the past by Director from time to time
thinking it had to save my external graphics casts, which on my old computer
took a couple of minutes.

I wonder if I should put my #text members into BLOBs? I'm going to have a few
thousand of them, and it's already slowing the loading just in authoring mode.
