corrupt database

I'm on a PowerPC, OS X - 10.2.3, using primarily REALBasic 4.5.1 to
work with the Valentina (1.9.6) database. As for ViSQL, it's 1.1a22
(compiled by RB 4.5.2 with Valentina 1.9.6).

I just tried reproducing it with a brand new database (one table with 2
fields). This is curious: the statement
SELECT * FROM sysitem WHERE value <> 0
worked without a problem, but
SELECT * FROM sysitem WHERE value<>0
(without the spaces) caused the same old crash. I've done this at
least 2 times now, with brand new databases, created both through code
and through Valentina Carbon.

Are you interested enough that you'd like a look at the crash log?
