Okay, I'll not pursue a change of your Valentina rules.

Can I request a new feature that will help me (and all RB users)?

Read access to the individual constants for the ValentianSetExtensions.

For example:
ValentianSetExtensions "vdb","dat","blb","ind"

Sets these constants:
vFileExtension = "vdb"
vDatExtension = "dat"
vBlobExtension = "blb"
vFileExtension = "ind"

I'd like to be able to know the file extension at any time.

ValentianSetExtensions "vdb","dat","blb","ind"

/// code here

MyFileExtension = vFileExtension
