So let's say I have an application that uses Valentina and, as part of 
an update, I decide to change the file format slightly. Add a couple of 
fields to existing tables and add some new tables for example.

When the new version of my application tries to open a file created 
with the old version - it won't work.

What is the best way around this? Do I need to write a routine to parse 
the old file and copy all the existing values into the tables in the 
new file?

Or is there an easier way?
