Setting system date to yyyy-mm-dd permanently

Well I just tried

*  VDatabase_DateFormat( **gDatabase**,"kYMD" ) -- specifies the format of
date.*

*  VDatabase_DateSep( **gDatabase**f, "-" ) -- separator for date*

*in RunRev and I get the error message "can't find handler" which means that
this must have been changed to something else but that change isn't in the
V4REV _reference*
