Further Register Serial Number Information

OS X 10.4.3

After correctly entering serial number and quitting VS, when I  
restart VS I get a dialog saying it is unregistered and VS promptly  
quits unexpectedly. vslog.txt has "Error: Parsing error in string 7:  
and gibberish."

Deleting the VA prefs file makes the quits unexpectedly go away.
