Rob - only to be sure:

You have entered the NAME of one of your datasources in the field
"Hostname" ?
This is important! Entering a hostname will not work!
I will soon change this - we will get two different dialogs. One for 
valentina Server -
and one for ODBC...

You told that you have 18 datasources registered. All 18 causes the
same error?
