Hi Jochen,

I like the current layout pretty much, but I'd really prefer to have ALL
datasources available without the need of a popupmenu. I don't understand
the sense why I should select a datasource from a popup first. So IMO
Datasources should show all available datasources... (easily distinguished
by icons)

Maybe the left column should work as a selector:

All datasources
Remote servers
Local servers
Valentina files
....

(Or even allow to build own groups:

- 'My favorite servers'
    - Server at 128.123.45.67
    - Valentina file 'HelloWorld.vdb'
    ...
- 'My mother's servers'
    - localhost
    - Server at 999.888.77.66
    -...

(just an idea)

Selecting one or some of them should show their contained elements
(databases). That way you can easily show the db's from various sources at
once.
