Stan's slow problem

Hi,

Mac OS X Activity Monitor, selecting my application and looking at
statistics. When launching a report on my app and generating a lot of
queries, the 'Faults' is incremented by 9,000. What does 'Fault'
mean? Is it normal to get that amount?
