Actually, this is correct, Ruslan, the order of authors is important.

Brenstein, R, Zasukhin, R, von Abel, GE (2004). A title. 23:23-24.
and
Zasukhin, R, Brenstein, R, von Abel, GE (2002). Another title. 2:145-160.

should sort in different places. And this is why the flat database 
structure is actually working in this case. The relational features 
do not truly give anything better except complicating the maintenance.
