Recruiting Seminar Announcement



Attention Coaches!



In an effort to educate our parents and athletes about athletic
scholarships and the college recruiting process, I have contracted Dynamite
Sports to conduct an hour long seminar entitled “Guiding the College-Bound
Athlete” on

*Monday, February 11, at **7:00 p.m.**,* *in the SJHS H.S. Auditorium*.



I am asking for your help in making sure that all of your parents and
athletes attend this informative and entertaining event.  And although it
is NOT mandatory I would like every athlete that is considering playing
college sports to attend along with their parents.  This seminar will help
our parents to become more knowledgeable and REALISTIC about athletic
scholarships and the recruiting process.  I am also encouraging middle
school families to attend so they can learn that NOW is the time to prepare
for playing sports in college.



This event will teach our parents and athletes how to set up visits, create
a “Recruiting Plan”, where to look for financial aid & scholarships, and
how to find the right college!



Please schedule your practices and/or meetings around this date so your
athletes and parents can attend.  Remember, it’s only 1 evening and we as
coaches want to give our athletes every possible opportunity for enjoying
athletics beyond high school.



I will also have “Special Event Invitations” for the seminar in my
office.  Please
pick them up at your earliest convenience and distribute them to all your
prospective college-bound athletes and their parents.



·      *SPECIAL NOTICE*



As an added incentive, Dynamite Sports will give a $100 restaurant gift
card to each high school varsity coach that has a minimum of 5 families
attend the event.  Football must have a minimum of 10 families.  We will
provide a “Family Sign-in” sheet at the entrance of the event.  So make
sure to tell your athletes and parents to SIGN IN so you get credit for
them attending.
