Studio 5.5.8

Hi

I just replaced Studio 5.5.5 with 5.5.8 (Mac OS X.9.3).

Cannot start it anymore. 
I did throw away alle Preferences, doesn’t work. And the worst: even the reload of 5.5.5 doesn’t work anymore.
(it does show up in killable process-list, but not with Cmd-Tab).

What could this be?
