Wrong

There is no any MAC or WIN here.

DATE and TIME values are converted into
  format-independent  ULONG - 32bit value.
       
We do not use any "relative to some magic date" tricks.

DATE is stored as is. ABSOLUTE value.  30 June 2012.
Yes, this means in the current our calendar.
