Running external server

I was wondering. I use vServer but locally. I haven't tried hosting the
server remotely yet. But can anyone answer? Now that LiveCode can compile
for an iPad app would it be possible to host the Valentina database on a
server in an office say and access that database with the LiveCode app on
the iPad over WIFI?
