V4REV - LiveCode have try-catch already ?? Wow? :-)

The difference between LiveCode and ObjC/Ruby, is that LiveCode is
also tied to a GUI system. Thus LiveCode is more like Smalltalk (only
LC is not OO). LC is also more like the combination of Tcl/Tk
(another system I much admire). Although once again, with Tcl/Tk
being bound into an executable, is not part of the Tcl/Tk
interpreter/GUI.

Stripping off the GUI from LC is like GNU Smalltalk. The latter is a
smalltalk that can be run as a shell in a terminal. That is also
something that could be done with Metacard/Revolution, and which has
been re-introduced with Livecode (although that does not interest me
so much, as there are many dynamic, server-side scripting languages).
In that environment I use Python and Tcl.

I feel that on the client-side LiveCode really has an almost unique position.
