Can get LiveCode to run with simple "Hello World" app in debug mode.

But can't get/find Android revAndroidPlugin.rev plugin so no Android testing
as yet.
So no testing with vOfficeServer.

Bummer.

Anyone know if I'd be able to connect to and use the vOfficeServer offered
in this bundle using LiveCode?

You can access a remote Valentina Office Server from any Valentina ADK,
regardless of the operating system.

Woohoo!

Wait a sec.

Have I just found a way into developing for mobile apps? - YES

Using Valentina Server? - No vADK for desktop platforms only. Yeah, OK.
Anyone know if I'd be able to connect to and use the vOfficeServer offered
in this bundle using LiveCode?

All of these items in this bundle
are for multiple mobile OS's - (yes, but only one mobile OS license with
the bundle) via Runtime Revolutions new LiveCode (formally named
Revolution)?

i.e. I can develop AND run/decode a LiveCode app on WinXP v3 - Yes then
compile and distribute to, and execute on Android mobile? - yes
- Looks like it. But also with the LiveCode license you can compile for
(Windows AND Mac desktop platforms) or just Linux.
So that looks like I can develop on one platform and compile to/for three
platforms?

I'm drooling at the moment.

Gonna take a break and come back to see if this if for real.

Also, just wondering what others might think of the LiveCode compared to
REALbasic and VisualStudio 2008 etc.

>From runrev web site:
Or watch our Data Grid Webinar. (This webinar was created when we introduced
this feature and so it still refers to "Revolution" the old name for
"LiveCode".)

Then from Wikipedia:
Runtime Revolution Ltd. makes the LiveCode cross-platform development
environment (formerly the Revolution programming language) for creating
applications that run on iOS(iPhone and now iPad), Microsoft Windows, Linux,
Mac OS X and Solaris.

>From other reading:
LiveCode compiles into 1.5megabyte executable and needs no runtime.
Compile Free Coding

Jeez!

http://www.omegabundle.com/

Man that's a lot on offer!

Can't really tell if I need this now or if any would be nice to have for
immediate or for later development.

Hi all,

Trying to sort this all out again.
Very glad to see I didn't miss out on good deal last time Omegabundle was
available.

Does LiveCode use Valentina as its DB
or is there some other database that LiveCode needs?

And does LiveCode work on iPhone or iPad?

What DB does Revolution use/need?

Does RealWeb come with the Omegabundle?

Researching more now.....
