VStudio can't open files

VStudio 4.5 worked okay. However, at the moment this issue seems minor. I can remember - perhaps - to add file endings, if I want to view the data in VStudio. This doesn't happen too often. And in our brave new world my files need a file ending anyway (and those strange UTIs).
