Problems with Umlaute in 4.7

Hi,

just moved from Valentina 3.5 to 4.7 and started my rev program.

My DB is UTF-16 coded and after opening the DB in my program I set the
IOEncoding to Macintosh:

get VDatabase_IOEncoding( gDBRef, "Macintosh" )

which worked fine in version 3.5

Now with the same DB and Rev program all german Umlaute are shown as
squares.

What has changed in IOEncoding from V3 to V4?

Any help?
