Import SQL date format problem

Date settings is a problem for me using Valentina Studio Pro. My Mac
OS is set to:

YYYY-MM-DD

When you open valentina studio 4.5 even thought that is my system date
it defaults to MM/DD/YYYY

If I try to change it in the settings it doesn't "stick". This makes
it so you cannot load SQL from a dump that has the date formatted in
the old SQL way. Can someone help me in a work-around for this?
