[V4RB] Encoding-Problem Local vs. Server

First: Thanks for the tip to: [V4RB]OpenDB(classesWay) in Server. It worked.

Hi all

The first output shown below comes from a local Database, the second one from exactly the same DB on the Server. Everthing is identical except the call of the database and everthing runs on Snow Leopard. Program on a MacPro, Server on a MacMini. Of course both on Intel.

VStudio (on the MacPro) gives the correct values(!), 
Windows gives a empty char and 
 If there is a Umlaut (äöü etc.) Ubuntu does not show the line but shows '&' for '…' (Tested on Parallels-Systems).

The URL is karlgrob.ch or 192.168.0.x. The string from the cursor (value of StringField) shows the encoding UTF-8. The whole thing on RealBasic 2009r5.

Does anyone know how I earned that?
