kPreferIndexed in readonly-databases crashes with VNET

Hi,

I just realized, that it gives an exeption

V4NET.VException: File "UNKNOWN" - is read only.

when I'm doing a V4NET.VField.FindValue() with inSearchPref=kPreferIndexed on 
a readonly-database.

When I change the search to  inSearchPref=kPreferNonIndexed, it works.
But of course, I would like to use the existing index from this field.

What can I do?
