installing and using V4REV in Linux questions

Attempting to open simple.rev - or simply putting "put
Valentina_Init( 10 * 1024 * 1024 )" in the message box - crashes
Livecode every time. What should the entries in the Externals.txt and
Database Drivers.txt files be?
