Blob compressing

I am not using compression. JPG, GIF, and PNG fail. PDFs fail and  
Excel files fail as well.
I always get only part of the data back. So far it has been impossible  
for me to store some data and get it back.
I have used all available functions always without compression.  
Absolutely everything fail. I get no error when storing the data.
Note that I tell Valentina to store the file to my Desktop. What I get  
is only part of the original file. Do you know what can cause that?
