How to do Diagnose using VSDK API

Hello,

The wiki documentation refers to a VSDK API utility routine called  
"Diagnose"

VDatabase Class.Diagnose()
Diagnose( inVerboseLevel as EVVerboseLevel = kNone inFile as  
FolderItem = nil ) as Bool

as described in this wiki page:

However, I cannot find it anywhere in the VSDK.Framework headers.

How do I do a Diagnose using the VSDK API?
I use C++ on Mac OS X
