Import data - problems

Mostly quiet over the last few weeks since I started asking questions again.

Sometimes I have to get pretty loud.
And other times I have to email Ruslan directly as a last result.

The replies are frustratingly short.

Sometimes I get a fellow user who takes pity and gives a verbose answer.

Sometimes by the time I get an response I've found the solution and have
moved on to the next problem.

Hi Barry,

Thanks for your help - 'frustration' certainly is the key word at this  
stage.

I have been importing various records to see if I can locate the  
problems - the problems seem to be random - sometimes it imports and  
other times it doesn't - I have tried importing just one field,  then  
only some of the data, sometimes yes, sometimes no.

I am only at the experimentation stage using tables of Text (as you  
suggested) then VarChar, Long and Short etc to try and understand the  
Valentina mechanism.

I am also moving through the documentation as best I can.

I have the free license which has eliminated one frustration - the  
shutdown every 10 minutes, and allowed me to progress more quickly -  
that has to be good!

I guess what I need at the moment is someone to tell me that it is all  
worth the effort and it will all work in the end - you did that in  
your last two lines - thanks!

Is the list normally this quiet? Is it because all are happy with  
Valentina or that there are not many users or active users?
