Valentina - PC/Mac differences

Hello,

I have an application that creates a database for another application to
use. Both apps are using Director and Valentina. Let's say application A
is the one creating the database and application B is using that
database.

Application A uses Director 11.5, Valentina 4.0 (universal binary)

Application B uses Director MX 2004 and Valentina 3.5

App A runs and creates a database and copies it over to B. Now when I
try to run B - and it is supposed to use this new database created by A
- it doesn't work. This whole process works fine on the PC but on the
Mac. The application B just sits there and hangs on the Mac, as if the
database is not responding. I open up the database in VStudio and it
looks ok, I tried re-indexing and it still wouldn't work.

I first thought that I have to convert application B as into
Director11.5 and use the Universal Binary for it. But if that is true,
then it would have had the same problem on the PC as well. How come the
PC works fine and the Mac doesn't? So there has got to be another
reason.
