Yes - Revolution 2.9+ includes support for bind variables with the  
revExecuteSQL statement. I use this feature successfully with SQLite,  
ODBC and MySQL databases.
I am using the revDB calls because I have thousands of lines of code  
in my application which have to work with 12 different databases - so  
that is why I use the platform and database independent revDB funtions.

Dates - Extra spaces issue - Yes - I understand that Valentina will  
require precise date formatting. When I look at the source data in  
the array element for that field, there are no extra spaces. But when  
I see the error message returned in the varError variable, I see  
extra characters following the date. ]
