bug with variables, link & stored procedures ?

The problem remains that any/all subqueries are cached,
so the temptable approach did not work for me after the
first time the SP is called.

Something like this:

          .....
          update tmp_table f1 = var where recID = 1;
          link records (select f1 from tmp_table where recID = 1 )...
          ......
