Hi Ruslan,

just to eliminate all doubt that we don't talk at cross purposes:

tested with V4DB v3.5 (01-Dec-2007); v3.5.1 (08-Dec-2007)  and 3.5.2
on WinXP(german) SP2 and Dir MX2004:

DB-file ist not read-only (checked with explorer)

In projector1:
db = new (Xtra "VDatabase")
thePath = c:\...\db.vdb
db.open(thePath)   (don't close; keep on running) ->
db.isOpen = 1
db.isReadonly = 0
valentina.lastError = 0

In projector2:
db = new (Xtra "VDatabase")
thePath = c:\...\db.vdb
db.open(thePath) ->
db.isOpen = 1
db.isReadonly = 0
valentina.lastError = 0    => But should be <> 0 , right???

Best regards,

Marc
