getting started using Valentina

Hi Garth
This was very similar to my experience. I'm still trying to get Trevor's
excellent database library to work with Valentina but query builder (limited
though it is) works fine.
Have you tried fooling around with Valentina Studio? It is excellent and any
bug you find will be fixed very quickly when you report it to Mantis. If you
(or I) were knowledgeable enough to figure out why it is so difficult to get
Valentina working with Trevor's library or the other Revolution standard
calls and reported it to Mantis they would fix that just as fast so don't
give up.
