could I make a FR for a RESET STATUSVARIABLES (object, specific  
variable)

This would augment the value of having these variables. The only way  
now to reset the variables is restart the server. That seems to be a  
bad idea (in the long run).
Wouldn't it be nice if you could have an event (scheduled) that  
resets certain counters for certain tables. It would be very usefull  
info on the load of the server when one starts collecting the  
variables values for fixed slices of time. This way we could generate  
usefull statistics over time.
