Yes, I've got Parallels on my machine. The issue was related to the  
"parallels network simulation" and bon jour. I was not able to nail  
down other issues to wether parallels is installed or not. Currently  
I've got my new media-center mac mini setup and until now there is  
neither Parallels nor Valentins installed on it. So if anybody wants  
me to check if there might be a difference it's now a good time
