Unicode collation values

Hi there,

My application contains an iTunes-like list box. I currently have a table
of Tracks with a collation strength of kPrimary. This matches the
alphabetical sorting behaviour of iTunes up to iTunes 7.2.

However, in iTunes 7.3, the sorting has changed so that numbers sort after
alpha characters. Is there a combination of collation settings I can use,
or an alternative SQL command, to perform a similar search with Valentina?

Another question: I recently realised that Mac OS X 10.4 allows you to
specify the ³order for sorted lists², for the entire system. This is
specified in System Preferences > International > Language, in a popup menu.
If, for example, you select ³Lithuanian², then the letter ³y² is sorted
between the letters ³i² and ³k². This sort order is respected by iTunes and
other applications. (More information about the ways that languages vary
for collation is shown here:
http://www.icu-project.org/userguide/Collate_Intro.html).

Is there a way to make Valentina use the same default collation settings as
the current OS X settings?

Thanks for any help,

Dave.
