File-DB style on PC and RB

Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a real error.

I can easily switch between server-access and file access in my  
REALbasic app. So I just copy the database files (4 files) from my  
server to the propitiate directory on my mac and everything works  
like expected and experienced. (Btw. there is no .vdb file only mydb,  
mydb.dat, mydb.ind, mydb.blb).

Yesterday I tried this on a pc, too, but got a message "...mydb.vdb"  
not found ?!?!? I check my code, checked this version on a mac -  
everything like expected. Tried again, error message again.

The workaround was to copy(!) not to rename the mydb file to  
mydb.vdb. After this the initialization went through with no issue  
and then "mydb" (w/o .vdb) was opened! So there must be a point where  
the PC-version expected a ....vdb and a mac not?

Any ideas? Should I file it to mantis?
